                             Soccer’ America’s Game?

Goal! You have just heard one of the most famous quotes in sport history. It came from the sport soccer, which is one of the only professional sports played worldwide. Many arguments have rised since the feuds between sports started. It started with soccer and football, which one was the most played and most popular sport in America. In the votes came and of course, soccer won by two votes. Soccer is especially played in Europe in which they call it football, so don’t get your football game-face on because soccer or football has a special place of its own!
I believe soccer is America’s sport, which everyone knows about and enjoys. Since soccer was invented in England, many people came to America for better wages and a better life at that time. So, when they came, they brought there professional soccer skills and introduced America to its later to be most funded sport. America’s population is over 305,000,000 and two fourths of those watch and enjoy soccer, leaving two fourths for the other twelve sports that America participates in. Soccer is the dominant sport when it comes to the most tickets sold out each game. Soccer started all of sports history and will surely end its time of playing the same way.
Soccer is not America’s sport. I have many more friends that would rather watch and enjoy baseball or football. Soccer was made in England, Europe and baseball and football were American made sports. So, the probability of them having more fans and viewers than soccer is possible. Also, more people might watch football because more people play football rather than soccer. The reason for that is that football is easier to learn and play  and you catch but, in soccer it is harder to learn  and you can only use your legs. Football may have been invented after soccer but football is a more aggressive sport and you know us men, whatever has to do with anyone getting hurt, we are sitting their, our eyes gleaming with excitement, and enjoying every second of it.
Soccer has concurred America with its popularity and fans. It all made sense for America to include soccer in its sports history because it is very popular. As of right now America’s population is over 300,000,000 and half of that is all soccer fans. That is around 150,000,000 soccer fans just in America! Soccer, also known as football, is the most funded and paid for sport in America which makes it special. Also, many soccer players on the American team are from foreign countries, which makes their fans and families come to America to watch, increasing the soccer fan population. Soccer is a perfectly balanced sport that uses almost everyone of your muscles and helps them get stronger. So, if you like sports that involve feet and aggressive players, join the big soccer family!

No Christmas music!

It's all about Christmas!! It hasn't been even Thanksgiving and they are playing Christmas style songs and getting everyone including me in the Christmas spirit! It's just wrong, why even celebrate Thanksgiving
when there is no songs about it and it's on the eve of Christmas. It just ruins my day when I hear Christmas music on the radio when it's a month or more away from Christmas. It all started when it was the Wednesday before Thanksgiving break and my friends and I are on the bus and the song goes on, literally at that point everyone started to scream about how wrong it is to throw Thanksgiving away and replace it with "the all important" Christmas. I believe everything and everyone thinks that Christmas is the dominant holiday because you get presents, everyones happy, all of your family comes over to have dinner, and special Christmas music is made to cheer people up and encourage them to open their wonderful presents they got from their caring parents. If you do not want to make music about the day America was discovered, then you don't have any American patriotism and I just feel ashamed!
I think Christmas music should be played before Thanksgiving because it brings up the spirit and fills the air with carolers and happiness. I think that it reminds children that Christmas is coming and if they want to get good presents they have to get good grades so they tend to work harder and show their parents that they deserve what they want and they show how much they want it. Also, the music helps parents get threw shopping for their children's presents and making the shopping more calm and less hectic from all the people running around and reading off their children's lists to Santa. The music gives me back good memories about last years Christmas when my grandma and grandpa were here with me to open my oh' so wanted presents and cheer me up while ripping the paper off and not being able to wait to see whats hiding under the paper wrapping. Christmas and Thanksgiving are even holidays and I hope one day each one will have an equal amount of respect so the holiday wars stop and everyone can enjoy their tummy-filling Thanksgiving and their merry and jolly Christmas!

Santa Claus, a good present for me!!

 Emil Santa

Christmas is near! There are many presents to be received. There is one gift I’ve been yearning for many years, I would like to receive it this year. It is a Apple Macbook pro with Core i7 processor and Mac osx 4.1 software. After losing my anger on my last super computer and putting sorrow on it, I think I suffered enough with a unstable computer to receive a nice and sleek laptop that can handle my uses.    As of right now, I have a Toshiba A665 with a core i7 processor (monster edition) and Windows 7 ultimate. I enjoy gaming and typing on this computer’s comfortable and wavy keyboard. I also love the beautiful graphics that enhance my visual sightings by a lot. But, I hate the color. It has a black scheme with padding on the tip of the screen. The feel of it annoys me more than anything about the computer, it has little bumps that give you an illusion as if you were touching a road. Overall, the computer is good but not great. But, the Apple laptop is compatible with DJ equipment so I can remake my music or music from itunes on Garage band that simplifies making music by a lot.    I take buying powerful electronics very seriously. The reason for this is that some can be extremely pricey and some can be hard to find. I usually spend a whole day sitting on my computer doing homework, playing games, or writing stories that I add to my computer journal. My computer is part of my life that i will carry on until I become a adult and probably use in my job as an architect. To add to my collection I bought a Razer Naga 5600 dpi mouse. It glows a blue color with LED lights. It is a super mouse that will match my super computer.    I realize you have a lot of orders for this and that, but, I am really looking forward to waking up and walking down stairs to be staring at a box saying Apple on it. This gift would benefit me and my family of expression to create anything we want on that computer and make our dreams come true. I don’t know what else to do to persuade you to make that gift sit under my Christmas tree on Christmas morning. I want to thank you for the gifts you gave me in the past, I dearly enjoyed them!

Sincerely,
Emil Kowalski

Thanksgiving parade

Many people recognize the Macy's parade as the main parade of Thanksgiving. But, in Plymouth Massachusetts there is another important Thanksgiving parade called America's Hometown parade. This parade began in 1996 and is traditionally held on the weekend before Thanksgiving. People came up with the name for it by thinking about the Plymouth colony that was the arriving point of the Pilgrims that took part of the "First Thanksgiving". America's Hometown parade is not like all others.America's Hometown parade is strict about the decorations and floats. It doesn't have or allow huge blow-up balloons of famous characters like the Macy's parade. In exchange of that it has element's based on the history of The United States.and arranged in chronological order. At the beginning, bands start off the parade. Later on in the parade  colonial era floats that have turkeys and all kinds of things drive past the people. At the end, to make it a little more entertaining, they have modern dancers perform that end the glorious parade.

Gratitude

       Emil Kowalski
There is many things to be grateful for. But the most important to me is my health, and my families health. I find it the most important because if your health is bad your whole character changes and sometimes health affects your mood so you can’t do things you like. Another thing I am grateful for is video games. It all started with a paper looking Mario and Luigi, then onto a awesome graphic war game. Video games are what I do when I finish my homework and no ones outside. It’s one of my dearest hobbies that I dearly enjoy! I have gratitude in everything I do and in these I put the most I can!

Satire of my life

Eighth graders are the worst thing that happened to me in middle school. I mean whoes idea was it to put these huge monsters that are two times taller than us with these little children that still wear extra small clothes. If I were the principal i would do everything to get these grouches out of the way for these children who can't protect themselves. Next thing you know they start to steal our homework and eat it for lunch. All I want to do is stay away from people who can crumble me up and throw me into a basketball hoop easily. So please try to make me live until 18!

Halloween Fun Times

Halloween is my second favorite thing in October. My first is my birthday. Halloween is a holiday when you dress as a wide variety of things like monster's,famous people, and funny things too. I think Halloween is the second most important holiday for children because you get to express what you feel in wearing costumes you picked out yourself. On Halloween there is no dress code. You wear what you want and go trick-or-treating around the neighbohrhood. That's what changes Halloween different from the other holiday's because, lets say on Christmas you have to be dressed neatly but on Halloween it's literally a free-for-all. But sometimes Halloween brings mischief. Sometimes, mostly teenagers teepee, egg, or throw paint at houses. I've once had a expierience too, when I stilled lived in Roselle my house got teepee'ed twice in one day. I personally like Halloween because it's a day after my birhtday, we have a dance for it, and it's before break. Also on this day i get to stuff my face with the candy i recieved from trick-or-treating. I want Halloween to be this popular until I have kids so i can expierience how it feels to have children and take them trick-or-treating around the neighbohrhood, like i did when i was thier age.

Patriotism is our countries definition

                        Patriotism is our countries definition

Do you wonder how our country has rights for freedom? The anwser is patriotism. Patriotism is taken very seriously in our country. Without patriotism our country would be like all others. But we were gifted with patriotism. A word that stands for everything that we have a priviledge to do that other countries can’t do. It is the word all soldiers go by fighting for our dear country. Even when our economy is down and we can’t do anything about it, patriotism will be in our hearts till the day death does its part and we touch upon heavens grounds.
That one special day that patriotism especially stands out in is Veteren’s day. On November 11th, we celebrate a holiday called Veteran’s day. That day all the soldiers that served in a war that america fought in are prayed for. It is a day that our sincere countries history is remembered and all the soldiers that suffered and passed away in all the treacherous wars are thanked for there duty of serving our country and letting our country represent our patriotism. Also on Veteran’s day we celebrate the history of America’s presidents and how they impacted on our countries history. So now you know what veteran’s day is and how we celebrate the day, so next time try to pray for those in need of help fighting for our countries rights and privileges.
Now we have done things we couldn’t even think of doing ten years ago, and all that is because of patriotism. A word that no word can be more useful in describing war and other political things. We, citizens of the US are proud and happy that our country is fortunate enough to have patriotism as a thing we can depend on and have for the rest of our and our children’s lives. So please be a nice person and respect patriotism the way you would respect your own mother and father. Patriotism is the way we live and the air we breathe every day. So let’s begin living our lives the way we want to and live by the great word of patriotism!

My favorite parts of Ralph Fletchers stories!!!

Ralph Fletcher is a very talented writer. He is famous for writing stories about his chidhood that are very important to him. So far I've read five stories in class that he wrote. I wish when I grow up I can be as good as a writer as him. My first favorite segment from one of his stories named "Marshfield". The segment that i like is when Ralph says "More than once I tried and left behind one of my sneakers, a lost sole sunk forever at the bottom of the swamp." What I liked about it is that he used the word "sole" the wrong way you were suppose to, but in a funny way. The second segment I like is in his story called "Bobby", which is about his little brother. The segment I liked is when he says "I tried to sneak past, but Bobby saw me and made a loud sound, extending his little arms straight up into the air like, Touchdown! Which meant, pick me up! I'm a sucker for that move. No possible way I could ignore it." I chose this segment because I liked how me and Ralph have a simulaity that we cannot say no to a baby when they do the "touchdown" signal. I hope later in my life, I will be able to still remember him and his very descriptive and special stories.

My Christmas when I was 9

My most memorable event from my childhood is christmas when I was nine because it was the year I got everything I wanted and my whole family was here. When I said my whole family was here, I meant my grandpa and grandma and all the other important people in my family.About two years ago my grandma flew away to my home land, Poland in which my grandpa joined her and flew away about three weeks ago and I was very depressed that he went away. So basically my mom is the only person left from her side of the family. My mom's brother is in Poland and he has 2 children of his own. The main things i wanted for christmas were a wireless Ps3 controller, Two Tech deck packs and lego that is for children twelve and older. My mom told me she had to convince my dad to buy me the controller because all of them were sold out in gamestop so my mom had to buy it at best buy which costs two times more than gamestop. All and all I am happy for the things I have now and for the support I get from my family. Also this christmas was the only one I got what I wanted!!!!!!

Call of Duty Black ops!!!!!!

A week ago infinity ward introduced an official trailer of the long anticipated game, Call of duty Black ops. The game is about a soldier who has been transfered to a special, undercover group call black ops. In the game the characters you play as, demolish vietnames and afghanistan headquarters of illegal drug sellers and gun companies that sell guns and weapons that can give Afghan a boost over the united states, and might give them a chance to win. Also in the older Call of Duty World at War was a little add-on called Nazi zombies, in which you kill zombies of former soldiers which were Nazi's. In Black ops there will also be this feature so you can enjoy it like the old days. Call of Duty Black ops is coming out on November 9th, 2010. I can't even wait for it myself because it is from my most favorite game series. I started playing since I was in second grade, and I can tell you every time a new one comes out it is ten times better than the last one. So if you like first person shooter games pick it up on the date it comes out!!!

Transfering from class to class in middle school

Are you in middle school yet??? Well I am and let me tell you, passing from class to class is the hardest. I find it to be the hardest thing because at that time you think its free time and you start to talk with your friends and by the time you stop you have 1 minute left and half a halfway to walk to get to your class. Also this is my first year of middle school and all the classes, teachers, and even the school was new to me. So everything was hard for me except for sitting in homeroom until sixth period. But once you get used to it, everything seems so easy that you could just snap your fingers and your done. So remember school and education first and your choices are limitless.
