Patriotism is our countries definition

                        Patriotism is our countries definition

Do you wonder how our country has rights for freedom? The anwser is patriotism. Patriotism is taken very seriously in our country. Without patriotism our country would be like all others. But we were gifted with patriotism. A word that stands for everything that we have a priviledge to do that other countries can’t do. It is the word all soldiers go by fighting for our dear country. Even when our economy is down and we can’t do anything about it, patriotism will be in our hearts till the day death does its part and we touch upon heavens grounds.
That one special day that patriotism especially stands out in is Veteren’s day. On November 11th, we celebrate a holiday called Veteran’s day. That day all the soldiers that served in a war that america fought in are prayed for. It is a day that our sincere countries history is remembered and all the soldiers that suffered and passed away in all the treacherous wars are thanked for there duty of serving our country and letting our country represent our patriotism. Also on Veteran’s day we celebrate the history of America’s presidents and how they impacted on our countries history. So now you know what veteran’s day is and how we celebrate the day, so next time try to pray for those in need of help fighting for our countries rights and privileges.
Now we have done things we couldn’t even think of doing ten years ago, and all that is because of patriotism. A word that no word can be more useful in describing war and other political things. We, citizens of the US are proud and happy that our country is fortunate enough to have patriotism as a thing we can depend on and have for the rest of our and our children’s lives. So please be a nice person and respect patriotism the way you would respect your own mother and father. Patriotism is the way we live and the air we breathe every day. So let’s begin living our lives the way we want to and live by the great word of patriotism!

  1. Nice job, Emil! You exhibited a great amount of voice in this piece and elaborated upon many different points. Here are a few grammatical/spelling corrections to make to make your piece stronger:
    1. Country's (as opposed to countries)--in the title and any other time you refer to the US "possessing" something)
    2. Privilege (as opposed to priviledge)
    3. Veterans Day (as opposed to Veteren's or Veteran's)
    4. Capitalize the A in America
    Overall, nice job, Emil!
